Nail Technician Training Courses

The International Academy teaches a full program of nail beautification and artistry preparing the student who desires to be considered a professional in the field as a Nail Tech. Professionalism is achieved through
pride, competency and efficiency.
International Academy instructs the student in all phases of the application of artificial nails such as acrylics, sculptured nails and nail art, along with nail tips and nail wrapping, manicuring and pedicuring. In addition, students will learn methods of sanitation, personal ethics, salon management and customer service and client relations.
The course prepares the student to receive his or her license as a Nail Technician in the State of Florida and seek employment within nail salons, full services salons, spas and resorts and podiatrist offices. In addition to our Nail Technician Program, International Academy offers a dual licensure program,
Full Specialist. This program combines the Nail Technician Program (240 clock hours) and the Skin Care, Hair Removal Specialist Program (310 hours) along with 50 additional clock hours in receptionist and retail skills. The State of Florida issues a Full Specialty License-No examination by the State is given.
Weekly Class Schedule for 240hr Nail Technician Program
Full-time Days: 30 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday
Part-time Days: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
Part-time Nights: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday; plus 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday.

*On Time Completion means perfect attendance every day. Not missing any of your contracted schedule (whether it's full or part time) for any reason ie: illness, work, family issues, vacation, leaves of absence and never being late for school or leaving early for any reason.
-150% of Normal Time is the acceptable maximum timeframe within the US Dept of Education regulations for a student to satisfactorily complete a program.
